So i’ve been on a mini hiatus lately. Lots have been going on and I’ve been extremely overwhelmed trying to keep up with professionally and personal obligations. Thankfully, this reflection came just in time earlier this week during a nurse executive meeting at my practicum site…
Keep Building
If it were quick and easy you would have already done it. The fact that it is difficult and time-consuming means you’re doing something truly worthwhile.
The value of any achievement is built with the time and effort you put into it. Keep going, keep building, keep at it and you’ll truly have something of great value.
It is often difficult to stay positively focused. And it always worth the trouble.
Sure, it would be much easier to do nothing. Yet by doing nothing, you create nothing.
Instead, step forward and do the difficult work that must be done. With each effort, you are adding more value and substance to achievement.
Feel the satisfaction as you continue the difficult and rewarding work of building that achievement. Know that the value has already started coming to life.

On Wednesday April 1st, my dear friend Alysce delivered her first baby, Kalia Ann Lagbao. I’ve known Alysce since she first started as a NICU RN. She’s such a sweetheart and I have no doubt in my mind what an awesome mom she’ll be! Anyways today was a special treat for me because Alysce and Martin honored me with the pleasure of shooting lil miss Kalia Ann. Initially I had told Alysce and Martin that I’d probably get these up by Wednesday, but as soon as I started editing away today, I just couldn’t stop! So here are a few of my favorites from today…
Alysce and Martin, thank you for being such great sports today! May you both enjoy every minute with your new bundle of joy! Oh and you’ll definitely be getting a picture disk in the mail sometime this week!
Alright so without further ado, Kalia at 12 days old.
one of Kalia’s protectors, definitely a gentle giant…
the main protector of them all.. dad!

check out that beautiful head of hair!
kalia having a moment here.. hehe

Initially Kalia was grumpy with all changes and maneuvers. Martin said it best when he asked Kalia if she thought she was being underpaid for today’s work. Does this expression say it all?!
too cute for words! pink lips and pink soles are just not meant to be in black and white!

soon enough, she tired out…

So this year we celebrated Easter a day early at Redondo Beach with the in-laws, the Molo family & the Burgos Family! It felt like a lazy sunday, but I guess some of that was attributed to this stinkin’ cold I’ve been battling these last few days. Still, as I type I can’t breathe out through my right nostril! lol. Anyways since we were gettin’ our hands dirty feasting on fresh seafood, I didn’t grab a chance to take pictures of the food like I did last year for Ron’s birthday. But I had to take a picture of the sea urchin cause it was so unbelievable cool (yes I’m easily entertained!, hehe)! After lunch we all walked through the harbor, grabbed pictures, and ate churros. YUM! Sad we had to leave early cause Ron had to write his research paper. Oh wells, guess I better start editing Ejay’s birthday pics from Friday night. Happy Easter everybody!
Happy hubby = happy wife.. or is it the other way around? LOL! On a different note, he has such a baby face!! I’m jealous!
Ron and his pops
the moms. aren’t they cute?

Sebby and Tito Jun.
There was a nice breeze blowing so I wanted to have fun with these pinwheels! Here’s a simple camera trick with the shutter speed.
Another cool trick is Dez magically appearing out of blue pinwheel! (and Ron moved!)

Mia and Jasper’s relationship has survived trials, tribulations, and even war. With both of them serving in the Air Force, distance has always been an issue from different parts of the country to different parts of the world (including Afghanistan!). Last weekend however, Mia and Jasper’s relationship came full circle as they tied the knot in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the years that they’ve been together, they’ve had to rely on patience and trust to keep their relationship strong. So when time became their enemy on their big day, it didn’t phase them one bit… In fact, I’m sure it made their vows that much sweeter….
Mia and Jasper, we’re so greatful to have friends like you both! Just remember, we were there for you guys no matter how late it started! We wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness and love as you finally begin your new lives together.
Since Ron was one of the groomsmen, I became the designated photographer for the men. haha.
