Last Friday my friend Melissa (and fellow NICU nurse!) and her husband Kevin welcomed their first baby boy! He’s definitely one blessed baby cause I only know a handful of couples who are as genuinely sweet as these two!
Towards the end of the session, Makai became so fascinated with his daddy! Definitely an “awwww” moment to witness!

Meet Sabrina! Yet another “August baby!” Being that I was born in August myself, I learned long time ago that I share my birthday month with very many people! So it comes to no surprise that my newborn sessions for August filled up rather quickly! Here’s little Sabrina at 13 days old.
Sabrina’s mother had asked that I include Sabrina’s older siblings…
Next to newborns, children are definitely my 2nd favorite *models* to photograph! These two were definitely no exception!
Going over the shots from this session was so much fun! Since I’m rapidly firing away with newborns & childrens, it’s hard not to miss the *blooper* moments and *behind the scenes* action! The heartfelt thing about kids is definitely their blunt honesty! I don’t usually post bloopers cause I’m somewhat of a perfectionist… but Josh’s face was priceless! Can you tell that he wasn’t enjoying this session as much as his sisters?

We then headed outdoors… although we tried to get more *siblings* shots, poor Sabrina had had enough with her modeling. So here’s some of her older siblings.
Celebrated my 26th birthday with family and friends this past Saturday! Although we live in Orange County and about 20 minutes away from the beach, we’ve been too busy to enjoy this commodity. So what better excuse to go all out on a beach day than my birthday!
Thanks to everyone who came out! The greatest joy I have on my birthday each year is always seeing my loved ones!

Meet Keanu!
Usually I do newborn sessions under one condition– and that is that “newborns” must be under 2 weeks old. By 3 weeks they’re said to start developing their personality and staying awake longer! Keanu was no exception to the rule He was awake our whole session and oh so full of personality! One thing was for sure, he loved being swaddled and he made he enjoyed just chillin’ out on the beanbag! His newborn session literally became a head-shot session and the funny thing was, i think he ended up enjoying himself in the end! Check out all his smirks and smiles!
For future “authentic” newborn sessions however, I’m definitely sticking to my rule of less than 2 weeks! Audrey and Garrett, thanks for sharing your little man with me! It was a long morning but we enjoyed getting to know you two and your new bundle of joy! I know it’s a ways away but keep me on your speed dial for baby #2! hehe!
