Boys N’ Belly!

Come this November, my sister will be giving birth to her second baby and her first boy! I’d never done a maternity session before since I always shoot the aftermath (the newborns) so i thought this would be a fun “experiment.” (And might I point out the ironic: she’s a Labor&Delivery RN and I’m a Neonatal RN! lol!) Needless to say, it was alot of fun being outdoors and in the sun! And definitely a change from the indoor newborn sessions that I’m use to.  Thanks so much to Irish for doing hair&makeup!

Here’s Khayla… the soon to be big sister. We told her to Be Cute. And here’s what she gave us. Eat your heart out..

Khayla can’t pronounce “Kharlo,” her baby brother’s name, so she calls him, “Color” hehe!

This next series is what I call, “the money shot.” I don’t have a studio since I’m a natural light shooter and my newborn sessions are done usually in the comfort of my client’s own homes, so making a “pretend studio” is always hard for me since I don’t do artificial lighting! Therefore, I only do this for special people ;-) So you better like them, sister!!! lol =P

Be on the lookout for Kharlo’s debut this coming November!

Esther and Shane Married!!

San Clemente: On a beautiful Saturday morning surrounded by a close group of friends and family, Esther and Shane professed their love for one another. Esther looked radiant and together with Shane, they were probably one of the most care free couples I’ve ever met. This wedding wasn’t only about them, but it was about celebrating their love together with the people they loved most. Esther and Shane, Ron and I would like to thank you for treating us like guests even though it was absolutely unnecessary. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Baby Bryson

When Bryson’s parents contacted me about doing their newborn session, they said that their house would have great lighting. Although this expectation lived up beyond its promise, they didn’t mention that they’d have such a gorgeous view, which overlooked the Pacific Ocean from their home! I remember the voice message on my phone the day after Bryson was born, “We have been corresponding through email about doing a newborn session with you, and well… Bryson’s here!!” It’s always so exciting to feel the overwhelmed joy of parents! Bryson is definitely one lucky baby to have parents as endearing as his. Congrats to his mommy and daddy! May you enjoy this new adventure of parenthood together!

As I set up for my first shot of the little guy, I heard his mommy whisper to his dad, “He’s gorgeous...” And indeed he was…

Twins and Tutus!

I’ve known Jennie since, gosh, middle school? And with the wonders of facebook enabling us to keep in touch, I came to find out that she had 3 beautiful children, 2 of which, are a set of twins. Although she was told they were fraternal, I had such a hard time telling these two apart!! They just have to be identical!! We shot this one beautiful afternoon and can you believe that Jennie MADE those adorable tutus the day before?!? Anyways, thanks Jennie for honoring me with the privilege of photographing your gorgeous children! Good luck to you and your future nursing endeavors, and I hope to see you one day in the NICU as well!!
