New Beginnings

It’s been a long time since I’ve last posted and since I’m taking “maternity leave” from photography for the remainder of the year, the next couple posts will be personal ones.I do however, promise pictures!

It’s hard to imagine that my little bambina, Eva Jade, is finally here. This time last week as a matter of fact, I was still pregnant and accepting the possibility of an 41 week induction since i didn’t look, ready to pop. One thing is definitely for sure though, I’m not liking this postpartum body or phase and everything that comes with it. I may have even delayed my recovery time since Eva was born on Thanksgiving, and the holiday weekend brought on many festivities. But when I look at that sweet face that completely melts my heart… it just numbs all the soreness and misery that is my temporary postpartum shell. The transition into parenthood has also been a tough one, which I’m sure any parent can relate to. They sure weren’t kidding when they said parenthood was a full time job!

Anyways, since i absolutely love photography (can you tell?!), everything had to be documented. The next few posts will include her birth story, and then eventually, her newborn pictures (taken by me of course, cause I wouldn’t have it any other way!)

For now, here’s a quick maternity picture from our uber fabulous wedding photographer, Amelia Lyon. Because she hasn’t officially posted our session on her blog just yet, I only wanted to post two of her faves that she shared with me.
