Meet the Castle Family! I had the pleasure of photographing little Makai for his newborn session last August and now he’s about to turn 1! I had a lot of favorites from this session, and it was really hard to narrow down my top picks. So for more images from the Castle family, watch their slideshow at the end! (played to the tune of Bob Marley, whom is one of Makai’s favorites… or so i’ve heard )

i just love this picture of Makai. The way he’s sitting and even the look on his face. He’s in deep thought about something!!

You all might remember Layla from her newborn session last November. She also happens to share the same birthday as my due date, which i thought was pretty neat too! (Annnnnd her mom guessed right that I was having a girl too!) Well, Layla is officially 7 months and such a happy baby!! Check out her cuteness!!

These next few frames were so fun, I couldn’t pick a favorite!

The fun thing about doing photo sessions with children is that Ron and I get to practice our parenting skills!  (Ron grabs the kids’ attention, and I shoot away!) Every now and then however, we get an easy going baby like Brett who’s easily amused at Ron’s attention seeking tactics!

Alright, Ron gets no credit for this next image! This cute smirk is all because of Mommy and Daddy’s loving!

I just loved loved LOVED Brett’s outfit! Aquamarine is my favorite color! So I’d have to say that Brett’s mama has good taste Happy Sunday!

Lisa had contacted me a few months ago about photographing her lovely family. She was actually a referral from a dear sweet friend of mine (Hi Nikki!). Over the next few weeks, we had many discussions regarding the *location* of the photo session. Little did we all know however, is that the perfect location was right in their very own backyard! Here are some favorites from that day!

Meet Caitlyn! At the precious age of 1, Caitlyn has a great deal of curiosity. I’m sure the whole time she was thinking, “What’s this funny black box machine in front of my face?”, cause at times she’d simply just stare right into my lens. She didn’t care much for smiling, nor was she afraid, she was simply…. just curious..!
