Baby Lorenzo {Los Angeles Newborn Photography}

Re-introducing Baby Lorenzo! This little guy had a rough start and was in the NICU for a couple days before finally coming home to mom & dad! I don’t typically photograph “newborns” pass a certain day and age, but given the rough start, Lorenzo had his own plans for when his session would be. Regardless, he cooperated like a perfect newborn!! I was even surprised at how *mold-able* he still was! To his sweet, sweet parents… thanks for inviting me into your lives for this new and exciting chapter! I thorough enjoyed getting to know your family through your maternity, nicu, and newborn session. Best wishes! For more images, be sure to watch his slideshow at the end!

Baby Victoria & Birth Announcements!

Meet the 3rd Hicks Chick, Victoria! She was actually born back in June, but we wanted to hold off on blogging some of the images from her newborn session until birth announcements were sent out to her family and friends!

Initially I wasn’t doing, nor advertising a whole lot for birth announcements since my time was being consumed by grad school. As I started getting back into it however, I started to realize how fun it actually all was!

First off however, are just a small few images of little Victoria. We ended up using quite a few images on her two birth announcements, so you’ll see more as you scroll down this entry. Besides, I’m sure this isn’t the last of Victoria and her lovely family on this blog ;-) xoxo

For her birth announcements, Mom picked out 2 different concepts. One was a 5×7 flat card which utilized a pink template. The other concept did not utilize any templates, and was a 5×7 card that folded horizontally and displayed 4 images (1 on each side of the card) in a simply stated and clean look. Both cards were printed on cardstock in a pearlescent which gave a subtle shimmering finish.

I actually think sharing as much images as you can on a birth announcement, without being too overly excessive about it, is a great thing! And really, 3 – 5 images isn’t all that much! Besides, your friends and family want to see what your new baby looks like, and all the little features he or she entails!

Everything is customizable, the wording, the font selection, the image selection and placement, and even the decision to have the card be made in color or black and white!

In addition, for the 5×7 folding card, not one side was left blank! ;-)

Birth Announcements are printed on card stock in either a pearlescent finish or linen texture. More information and pricing can be found on www.kristineatienza.com

Lorenzo {NICU Photography}

Meet Baby Lorenzo~ one of my July newborns who had a rough start. When I came to meet mom, dad & baby Lorenzo for a quick mini-session in the NICU, we were all delighted to find out that he had progressed from requiring respiratory support and had begun feeding to eventually wean him off IV fluids. The little guy was finally being challenged to breathe on his own, and according later updates from his mom & dad, he had done relatively well and was expected to go home in the next few days… Now that Baby Lorenzo is finally home with his parents, I’m looking very much forward to their upcoming newborn session. Be on the lookout in the upcoming weeks!
