Renee & Wesley Married!

A colleague of mine once said that the greatest gift you can give someone is that of a memory. And to do that… all you need to do — is give your time. Now… I don’t do weddings, and I, by no means, even claim to be a wedding photographer, but when Renee and her mother Marla shared their talent for Eva’s baby shower, it only felt right that I share my talent as well, since they were on a tight wedding budget that left no room for a photographer. There was definitely alot of love in the air as Renee and Wesley prepared on the big day! And I was honored to be a part of it! Renee & Wesley, Congratulations on your your new life together! And may you make some beautiful babies for me to photograph

I wasn’t available to stay for the reception, so the majority of these images are specifically Renee and Wes for a smoother blog post flow! Here are some of my favorites!

Jennie & Harvey Married!

Typically, I don’t shoot weddings… but every once in a blue moon, comes that one bride that changes my mind for a split second. Jennie was that bride. I had told her that the bulk of my work consisted of children and newborns, and that I even had a criteria for the weddings that I’m committed to accepting. I must have sounded like I was the bride with all criteria, but regardless, Jennie went ahead and trusted me to document her special day. (She did more than that, the girl got me to hike Mount Rubidoux in Riverside).

Jennie & Harvey, thanks for having me and Ron along to be a part of your *10.10.10* wedding day at Edwards Mansion in Redlands! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, and hey, if you decide to make more beautiful babies, you know I’m your girl!!

I don’t usually post this many images, but then again, I don’t usually shoot nor post weddings. I had quite a few that I would have liked to post, so for more images, be sure to view their slideshow at the end!

In lieu of guests favors, Jennie and Harvey made a donation for St. Jude’s Cancer research. I thought that was definitely a sweet touch!

I know I posted a picture of this already, but I just love this angle. For a moment, I felt like I was in their little girls’ perspective.

PHoto Vegas Shootout!

While in Vegas for the WPPI conference, I participated in Portrait House’s PHotoshoot which was coordinated by Laura Marchbanks and Justin and Mary Marantz ! The Portrait House is actually a charitable outlet for photographers to give back to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. What better way to start off WPPI than to shoot right?! I also met some amazing photographers who I also happened to bump into later on at the Airhorns and Lasers Party that same night Here are just a few of my favorite images!

Paris In A Cup: Jalyn’s Bridal Shower

Whew! I’m on a roll with the festivities and blog posting! I hosted Jalyn’s Bridal Shower at an elegant tea salon in old towne Orange called, Paris In A Cup. The place was so fitting for a bridal shower and the atmosphere was simply divine! I was extremely excited about hosting a “traditional” bridal shower with an all female crowd because in my culture, huge co-ed wedding showers are more common– allowing both families to meet and mingle before the wedding. ! Despite the smaller, and more intimate group of females however, it still felt like a big happy family to me. Jalyn, you are loved!

Floral arrangements were done by Kim Martinez of Lavender Hut. who also happened to be my wedding florist. She does beautiful work, is extremely creative and is very reasonable with her pricing!

The details of the tea salon are exquisite! The owner, Cheryl, spent countless hours watching old movies filmed in Paris from the 40′s and 50′s. After carefully selecting designs, decors, and furnishings, Paris In A Cup was brought to life!

Jalyn’s Bachelorette Party

These past two weeks have been filled with wedding festivities for one of my dear friends, Jalyn (also known as “Miss G” to her students). Her other maid of honor, Ann, took on the the responsibility of planning her bachelorette party while I planned for her bridal shower. Ann did such a phenomenal job, making sure that Jalyn celebrated her single-hood to its fullest!!! I wanted to share a few “G rated pictures of the goodies” minus all the male parts that come with bachelorette festivites. Enjoy!
