Silo Family {Orange County Children’s Photographer}

After finally coordinating our busy schedules and also combating the unpredictable weather, I finally got to photograph my lovely sister and her family!

I can almost picture my sister’s reaction to this photo with her husband. But because it’s a “family inside joke,” I guess you’d have to know us to get it!

My niece Khayla, is quite the diva. lol!

Baby Ryan {Orange County NICU Photography}

Baby Ryan is actually one of my “September babies” who was born about 6 weeks earlier than scheduled. Being that NICU babies hold such a special place in my heart (because of my other profession), I wanted to document this delicate time for Ryan’s family. He was actually doing pretty well when I came to visit him, so I’m sure with just a bit more feeding & growing, he’ll be home in no time!

There are some things we take for granted, such as an infant being able to eat from a bottle. Preemies who are 35 weeks and less struggle with the suck/swallow/breath coordination, as well as the stamina to actually finish a bottle. But Ryan mastered that with ease during this particular feeding.

To Ryan’s family: You guys are in my thoughts and I’m wishing the little guy a speedy and healthy recovery! I’ll see you again soon for his newborn session when he officially becomes a “NICU graduate.”

The Lambrecht Family {Orange County Children’s Photographer}

The fun thing about doing children’s sessions is being able to see the family grow! It’s been a year since I last photographed the Lambrecht family and I could not get over how big this little girl has gotten! This session was so much fun, I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites! The Ricci Family {Orange County Children’s Photography}

With 4 boys and 1 little girl (yep! a total of 5 kids!! and I hear they have 3 dogs at home!), the Ricci Family has definitely got their hands full! And here I thought having just one little one was already tough enough! To the Ricci parents, my hat goes off to you! Father’s Day

One of the most exciting things about starting a family, is starting your own family customs. When Ron and I started dating, he wasn’t exactly the affectionate type! And I knew some gatherings with my family had him out of his element. Hugs and kisses were thrown at him and he had to get use to the types of stories my relatives told, because nothing… was a secret. As the years passed however, he eventually warmed up to the hugs, kisses & stories– and as we discussed the dynamics we wanted for our own future family, this open loving relationship was a trait we wanted to instill. So when Eva was born, he showed no hesitation in showing this side of him. I have a feeling he’ll be the dad that will still be asking for kisses on the cheeks even when she’s all grown up!

We did a Father’s Day shoot and my heart was bursting the entire time! I may be biased, but this is definitely my most favorite session to date It only took 10 minutes to shoot, but Ron embraced Eva like he only had 10 minutes left in the world with her! I am so, so blessed, to have not only an amazing husband, but an amazing dad for Eva as well.

To Ron, Happy 1st Father’s Day! You are an amazing dad and I am so blessed to be on this adventure with you. We love you long time!
